One
year ago, I was writing Keeping Promises, a story whose characters must learn
to deal with untimely death. Each morning, before working on the novel,
I asked God to give me the words. Recently, I've come to realize that
He was doing so much more than helping me write a book. He was
preparing me for the future, for an event that He knew was coming, but I
did not.
Thank you, Lord, for holding me up
during the hardest journey of my life, and for continuing to do so.
Thank you for more than19 precious years with my son, for his
uniqueness, for our close relationship - for You knew our time was
short.
'Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the
throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in
time of need.' Heb. 4:16
Dedicated to my son, Kevin
